Moana and Moans

I must be living in a bubble because I have only just heard of Moana. The art seems beautiful (as pictured above) but what Disney isn't beautiful.

From HERE
Hoppy Easter! I am away this weekend so I decided to pre-create a lovely collection of Geeky Bunnies for you! We couldn't have a collection without our favourite bunny Anya.

Toy Tuesday

Today started out grumpy with Tim Horton's debit being down and my not having any cash. I know, such a trivial thing shouldn't bother me so much but it did. Well to make myself feel better I decided that we should have a Toy Tuesday.

As some of you know I'm a collector of Dolls and Toys and some other collectible things. I am not the kind of person to keep the items in a box, nor do I usually care if my kids touch them. I believe that some toys are meant to be played with and some toys are just fun on my shelves. Most of my Doll collection range in styles from Bleeding Edge Goth Dolls to Bratz, Monster High Dolls to Pullip.

If you haven't seen Pullip here's one:

Found HERE

I love Pullip's. They can be pricey but really they aren't any worst than other collectibles. My favourite part are that they are full ball joint dolls, so they are fully poseable. I love that they look like little anime characters. The one I have is in an older style outfit. I keep debating on making her new clothes but I can't get myself to change her from the pretty original outfit.

I have read a few reviews of some of the different Hot Toys collectibles that are out there at the moment. I know a few have been disappointed with the Age Of Ultron Artist Mix ones but as someone who loves Chibi and Anime styled toys I actually think they are rather cute.

What do you think?

Being I'm not a huge fan of the realistic toys a lot of mine tend to be slightly cute or cartoon-y. I'm in awe of toys that look realistic beyond belief. Like this one:

I think it's amazing what they can do know. I wouldn't turn down having one of these beauties on my shelf but I actually tend ones more like the first Captain.

We can't talk about cute geeky toys unless we bring up Funko. Funko is a new ever growing fad of ADORABLE geeky characters. My personal love for them is they remind me of Baby versions of my favourite characters. I have a Baby Venom ('cause he's the only character that I ever truly enjoyed in Spider Man when I was a kid lol), Baby Loki ('cause every girl needs a Loki LOL) and a Baby Baby Groot LOL.

Yesterday (March 30th) Funko announced their Star Wars Celebration toys. This is supposedly a first announcement of 3 for items that will be available at the Star Wars Celebration 2015 in Anaheim CA. Although there will be no way that I am going to the convention there I thought I'd share with you the cutest C3PO Ever:
From HERE
I don't know about you but I think he's adorable all in Silver. He would look so cute with my other Funko's. I am not the biggest Star Wars Fan in the world (far from it) but I can appreciate all geekdom... and he's totally one for the shelf .

Today Funko announced Sesame Street Pop! Figures. I think my daughters would love them. I have a fondness for Super Grover:

I kinda hope they make an Abby Caddaby (who is a favourite in my household).

Well I hope you had fun with Toy Tuesday today. Maybe I'll do more of these.
Who doesn't want to look at all the toys!!

Until Next Time.
Keep on Geekin' on.

Home and a Funko

I know you missed me. I was off on Friday for dental stuff that didn't work out as plan. Instead of getting a wisdom tooth removed I just got fully frozen then had a bad reaction and almost passed out. What this means is that I've been laying on my couch all weekend in achy pain from the multiple needles in the side of my face. The nice thing about being down all weekend is I decided to MEDICATE and take my oldest monkey to see HOME. (there may be some SPOILERS below so just be aware)

Found HERE
My daughter really really wanted to see it but wasn't too sure about it at the beginning. We really enjoyed it but it wasn't what I thought it was about at first. I thought (from Previews) it was another alien on earth who does funny things and feel good kinda movie. I wasn't expecting them to ACTUALLY take over the Earth in the few 20 minutes of the movie. Yup I said it right. The premise of the movie is an alien race (called the Boov) "relocates" all humans to a "human habitat" and then proceeds to take over the planet. In doing so they accidentally miss a little girl, who later on befriends an alien while forcing him to help her find her mom. The alien is "Oh" a bumbling little guy who seems to do things "hilariously wrong" (as they say in the movie).

From the 4 year old. Her review of the movie was that it was cute. She liked Oh and she thought it was funny. She was sad that the girl's mom was missing. She also wasn't to sure about the "evil" aliens hunting the Boov. It is 4 appropriate, unlike the new Annie which she fell asleep during due to boredom. She got bored at parts but the dancing and the silliness of the Boov seemed to make up for it. It is one we will watch again, maybe not the 5 Baymax's that she gave Big Hero 6, but definitely 3 Baymax's and a Fist. LOL I will definitely be buying it in time.

On another note I was a good little PenPal and actually managed to send out a bunch of letters!! YAY!

On Friday I got something an AWESOME twitter friend sent me. Being I'm in Canada (if you haven't figured that out yet I'm sure you would in time) I can't get some of the Exclusive geeky things that I see online. So one of my cool twitter peeps actually went to a store and got me my new Venom addition to my Funko Shelf.

I call them my Baby Groot, Baby Venom and Baby Loki (who I got at Toronto Comic Con the weekend before). Aren't they adorable!! Behind them you can see some of my book collection and some stickers my awesome brother sent me from Korea a few years ago. I think the stickers are adorable but I can't get myself to actually use them LOL.

So lately I have been writing children's stories with my daughter. I'm new at this but I've been writing down the stories I tell her at bedtime. (at least the ones that I can remember or that are fun).

I'm wondering if I should share some?? I'm also wondering if I should see if someone wants to illustrate them for me? I have a degree in art and do some of my own drawing but I've never been strong at cartooning. I may try my hand at it for a while but I just can't seem to get what I see in my head on paper. If anyone wants to try or has an opinion or anything I would love to hear it. Please leave me a message in the comments!!

But for now....
Keep On Geekin' On.

MARVEL-ous Pretties.

I have discovered some amazing boots from Hot Topic this week... Now I'm trying to decide if I want to buy them or not. Seriously, how cute would these look with a Comic book themed outfit??
Found HERE
Aren't they adorable. I think these would make a good start to a cosplay outfit, or just an outfit. I think Striped socks with a skirt or shorts and a comic shirt would be rocking!

A friend also shared with me this neat tutorial to make your own Comic book bracelets. Being I have an issue cutting up perfectly harmless comic books. (Yes I admit I'm a Weirdo at times) I would probably print off images from the Internets. You can do a General search for most comic's and find a few pages, this way I can print them at the size I would like instead of being limited to comic print. This is what I did for my shoes I made so that the image is smaller or bigger to fit into different spots on the shoes. (In case you forget they were featured on my very first post on this blog Awwww )

From HERE
Aren't these cute?? I think I'm going to make some with small pop bottles for my kids :). If you have any other cool crafty things that you find share them in the comments and I'm going to try to post more of them over time on here... I'm actually thinking of making a Links page to different Geeky Crafts or Blogs and stuff.

Here's something else cute:

Now who wouldn't want to be seen driving around in this. I don't think my Rogue could pull off a cute car wrap like this... but someday I'll have a cool truck or little go go car and maybe a bunch of money that I can throw onto one. For now I will drool in awe at the awesome geeky car decals and wraps and mods that people keep doing... like this one:

So Pretty: HERE
Maybe for now I should just get a window sticker or something LOL.

Well I'm hoping to have something posted tomorrow but I'm not sure if that will happen with me going in for Dental yuck.

Either way :)
Keep on Geekin' on!
