Cosplay Prep: Creating Props

No, I'm not Cosplaying Minions but I am definitely in full costume creation mode being I only have 1.5 weeks to go until Fan Expo and I'm SO not ready. This is the cry of all cosplayers. We hope to have things done a week or two (or a month or two lol) early but we seldom manage it.

Funko Friday

Okay I know I did Funko Friday last week but seriously there are too many announcements of cool stuff this week to pass up doing another one. Heck, who would pass up a chance to talk about Lola? Seriously this is a cool Funko! (image: Funko)

eBay: A Brief Guide for Cosplayers

The truth about cosplay is that eventually you are going to have to buy things for it. I know. The worst part of anything is having to hand over them hard-earned dollars. Cosplay: Buy vs. Make

As I have grown over the past year, one thing I notice I get asked a lot is whether I make my own costumes or buy them. I will be completely honest, it depends on the costume. I see a lot of discussion about this in the cosplay world. Some people think you aren’t a “real” cosplayer if you don’t make your outfit, but that just isn’t practical or fair. Do I have mad respect for people who make 100% of their own outfits? Absolutely, but I don’t think that buying a costume makes you any less of a cosplayer.
