Colouring Books and Board Games.

So it's my birthday next weekend, but this past weekend we went out with some friends to an awesome Board Game Cafe in Guelph. Not only was it a lot of fun and the establishment well put together, I also got one of the coolest gifts. (image: The Round Table/ Lynnvander)

So let's start with the place.

The Round Table

The Round Table is a cafe and soon to be a pub (which includes food and drinks) in Guelph Ontario that is actually owned and run by a friend of mine. Currently in it's soft open faze, a group of us decided it would be an awesome way to celebrate the multiple birthday's in the month of November by getting together for a night of games and geekery.

I have to say we had a wonderful time. If you are in Ontario and want to experience a fun time with friends where you can socialize over a game. This is for you! I love the atmosphere, it was welcoming and inviting. The tables were well thought out and placed perfectly to use the space for it's maximum capacity. Not only that but you can tell they thought out how to get around the establishment, how people could place their drinks and food around their games, as well as what was the best lighting for the games.

We will definitely be back, and once they are fully opened, we will probably be regulars. The best part is they have games for all ages. We had a teenager with us and she had just as much fun as the rest of us.

While celebrating, I got a cool gift of an Adult Colouring Book.

If you haven't seen or heard of the phenomenon. There is a new craze in adult colouring books. These are colouring books that are more complicated and detailed than the usual ones you find for kids. They are meant to help with stress, relaxation and a form of modern meditation.

I received a beautiful one (pictured above) that has wonderful fashions done in flowers. I'm really looking forward to spending some time (maybe when kids are napping or even when they are playing on their own) trying to colour some of these beautiful pictures.

Well, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Do any of you use Adult colouring books? If so I'd love to hear how you like them.

Until next time,
Keep on, Geekin' on
Angie
