Wickedly Cool Wednesday: Accessories and other fun stuff.

Some days you just need to look at cool stuff you want to buy and haven't yet (or can't afford in my case) so I thought I'd find some cool things for us to get through the mid week shlump. (image: Fashionably Geek)
Pictured above is the wickedly cool Steampunk pocket watches made by Starling Watches. Now these aren't your typical pocket watch. From the site they state:
These remarkable time pieces are the tangible embodiment of intangible concepts. They illuminate with your touch, the Chillovean lights dance about as if to whisper the secrets it holds to its owner. Chillovean lights feature multitudes of different random color arrangements, more than you can see in a lifetime. This beautiful piece of fantasy jewelry is a wonderful family heirloom and an amazing unique gift. (Fashionably Geek)
What is exceptionally cool is that there are 6 styles of these watches and they go along a series of short stories where the protagonists use them to "find love, solve problems and improve their world." (Starling Watches) There has to be something said for such a creative endeavor. Not only are all six watched absolutely beautiful and amazingly crafted, to link it within a story line is a very interesting concept, and to be honest the price tag isn't nearly as painful as I thought it might be.

Found on Nerd Approved, these secret books are something quite magical. They are well crafted tomes to hold all your nerdy paraphernalia. While they are not for sale (yet) they are currently aiming for a Kickstarter campaign to launch these amazing pieces of craftsmanship. If you are interested in seeing more by Elderwood I would check out their site for more information.

Pip Star Pop is an Etsy seller with some absolutely gorgeous lines of Steampunk Accessories. From intricately designed bracers and arm gear to necklaces, ear cuffs and head pieces, all these accessories have one thing in common, they are beautiful. There would be no question that anyone would want to buy any of these pieces for their Steampunk cosplay's. I actually really love their wings. There's something amazing about the creation and the way the sit higher on the shoulders. They use a wire frame in them so you wear them more like a backpack than other wings. Here's a photo of the wings.
